Granite countertops installation on Armitage Ave Chicago IL. This is still job in progress, but Juparana Vyara granite countertops and full height back-splashes  are in place. We just need to apply the silicon between the Back splash and upper cabinets. Countertops are already sealed with 15 years sealer to prevent any damage of the granite by spilled liquids. Electrician needs to instal covers for the electric outlet and plumber has to connect the plumbing and instal faucets. Other than that job well done, kitchen countertops with BS looks amazing.

Image above shows granite countertops from today’s instalation in Chicago.

This Black granite is called Black Galaxy and as you can see it is black with little golden specks in it. This granite color is one of the more popular choices. Kitchen countertops are finished with straight edge. You can notice that countertop on the center island has overhang from three sides with slight radius on the longest side. This is very convenient especially if you are planing to use island as a sitting area. In this case we have enough space to comfortably sit five people. I really like the combination of white cabinets with the dark granite.

New Venetian Gold Granite Kitchen

Image shows kitchen countertops with upper level window seal area. Countertops is finished with 1/2 bull-nose edges and has 4″ matching granite backslash. There is nice contrast between darker cabinets and lighter stone. New venetian Gold granite has brown accents which nicely match cabinets and floor colors. This installation was on Division street in Chicago. Upper level is still supported by wooden shims to to keep it in level. Shims will be removed next day as soon as everything is dry.

Outgoing project on Michigan avenue in Beautiful downtown Chicago. You can see Marron Cohiba granite countertops with double Ogee edge. This type of double edge is beautiful but not very common. It is upgrade design which is more expansive than standard edge profiles. Granite countertops projects with laminated edges demands perfect craftsmanship and are usually very time consuming. This edge is made from two 3 cm thick granite slabs glued together to achieve 6cm thickness of the stone.
